Frequently asked questions

The things travellers ask us most. Can't find it here? We're one email away.

Booking & payment

You pay a small prepayment online to confirm the booking; you settle the rest directly with the operator when you pick up the car — in cash or by card, depending on the operator.

Yes. The price you see includes the mandatory basics for that car. Optional extras (extra protection, a child seat, delivery) are shown clearly before you pay.

As soon as your online prepayment goes through. You'll get a confirmation email with your pickup details and the operator's contact.

Prices and payment are in euros (€).

Deposit & insurance

A refundable hold the operator places on your card at pickup as security. It's released after you return the car undamaged. The amount depends on the car and the protection level you choose.

Often yes, for the deposit — but some operators accept a debit card or no deposit at all. Look for the badge on the car, or filter for it.

Every rental includes mandatory third-party liability. You can add Standard, Full or Premium protection for the car itself — the Insurance page explains what each covers.

Pickup & the car

Most operators hand over at the airport. Your exact pickup point and instructions are in your confirmation email.

A valid driving licence, your passport or ID, the payment card for the deposit, and your booking confirmation.

It depends on the operator and car; younger drivers may pay a small young-driver surcharge. Any age requirement is shown on the car before you book.

You'll get that car or a similar one in the same class — the standard for rental companies. The class, not the individual car, is what's guaranteed.

Changes & cancellation

Yes. Cancel 48 hours or more before pickup and your online prepayment is refunded in full — free cancellation. Within 48 hours or a no-show, the prepayment isn't refundable, but you're never charged the remaining balance. To cancel or change dates, email hello@drovy.co and we'll sort it out with the operator.

Add your flight number when booking and let us know of changes — operators track arrivals and will do their best to accommodate delays.
